Making Futures!
Together we nurture first through twelfth grade students' potential by providing essential educational services and support.

Our Mission
Our mission is to instill a passion to learn, build trusting relationships between the students and their community, and broaden students’ awareness of various career opportunities. We are committed to empowering students to access higher education by providing financial aid and ensuring family financial constraints do not stand in the way of their success.
What We Offer
Our Story
For several years, Peggy Winters, a teacher assistant at a Klein elementary school, felt that someone should create a summer program that would keep children engaged in meaningful activities and strong in their academics during the break. After hearing a sermon based on Matthew 7:7 — “Ask, Seek, Knock”, she realized that the “someone” she had been waiting for was herself.

In 2010, Peggy founded Lunch & Learn.

What began as a small group of students meeting once a week at a local church quickly became something special. Volunteer teachers gave their time to lead engaging math and reading activities, while students enjoyed a nutritious lunch. At the end of each summer, participants received new backpacks and school supplies to help them start the school year with confidence.

Since those humble beginnings, Lunch & Learn has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by a dedicated community of teachers and volunteers. Today, it serves more than 60 students in first through twelfth grades.

Lunch & Learn continues to mentor students throughout their educational journeys, celebrating graduates who have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in a variety of professional fields. Several alumni have even returned to volunteer, pouring back into the program that once supported them.

Lunch & Learn remains deeply grateful for the unwavering support of its volunteers, community members, local business owners, and generous donors who make this life-changing work possible.
